Our company started in Crosby near Liverpool, Merseyside in the North West of England in 1954 with the original name of R.R. Shaw, and moved to its present location on Lord Street, Southport, Lancashire 20 years ago trading as Nicholas Thomson. Things look a lot different these days, but for over 50 years the business has been based on shoe retailing offering ladies shoes and mens shoes from the premier shoes manufacturers around the world. Over recent years our selection of matching handbags has greatly increased, and we have also introduced costume jewellery. There are new shoe and handbag collections from across Europe, and even as far as South Africa. New ventures keeping in tune with the latest fashion trends and styling. Our philosophy has always remained the same. We look for something that is great quality, provides good value for money, and is ahead of the competition in the fashion world.

LADIES SHOES 
Our Nicholas Thomson range of ladies shoes is extensive, going from casual daywear through to more formal work shoes, special occasions and weddings to evening. We have a big range of Rieker casual shoes which have a great reputation of comfort and value, and of course the new stylish crocs. Pikolinos and Toni Pons wedges sit alongside with the legendary Stonefly sandals from Italy and Waldlaufer of Germany. Softclox with Flexi wooden sole, gives the comfort of a shoe, with the wearability of a wooden sole. The slight heel provides you with the option to dress it up, straight off the beach!! Sharp casual day shoes from K&S, HB Espania and HB Italia and Rockport bring a truely European dressing feel to the collection. Peter Kaiser has some excellent comfortable work shoes for this season. For special occasions we have Christian Rossi, Savio, Zodiaco, Esparto, Magrit, Rebecca Sanver, Guglielmo Rotta, To Be, and Peter Kaiser who also have beautiful shoes with matching handbag sets. From Naples there are shoes by Alberto Gozzi Ego and Chantal. New from Europe is the range from Josef Seibal offering comfort with stylish good looks.

SIZE 2 LADIES SHOES.
Years ago most shoe shops had some size 2 ladies shoes in stock. As time went on fewer and fewer shops kept this size on the shelf. We were asked more and more for this size and the more we bought the better the range became and the more our reputation grew. The better our selection the more we have become known to specialise in this size and now people travel from all over the country to enjoy being offered a good selection of size 2 shoes.
MENS SHOES
Our Nicholas Thomson collection of men's shoes range from the formal to casual styling and is complimented by a selective collection of shoes by Rockport, Rieker, Pikolinos, and Peter Kaiser. We also have classic stylish Italian shoes from Stonefly, and Loake quality shoes made in England offer a traditional option.
There will be something there for you for all occasions.
HANDBAGS & ACCESSORIES
Our Nicholas Thomson handbag collection brings together some of the best factories in Europe. Abro from Germany, Cromia from Milan, and Alaluna from Spain plus the classy Marta Ponti, Little Earth, Tosca Blu. Unusual, interesting and beautiful quality. And of course we must not forget the classic handbag range from Tula.
We were one of the first shops to stock Radley bags and have watched the brand grow. There is probably the best selection of Radley bags and accessories in the country here.
Casual bags from Pikolinos which match their shoes, and special occasion bags by Peter Kaiser, Magrit and Rebeca Sanver make beautiful sets.
COSTUME JEWELLERY
We have the Nicholas Thomson range of costume jewellery, and an extensive range from Malissa J and Barbara Easton. Necklaces, earrings and bracelets made from many different materials designed to perfectly match your ensemble.
SLIPPERS
Ladies and men's slippers made in Menorca by Torres Saurina from the softest of leathers and on a low wedge heel for added comfort and support. We also carry a range of slippers from Rieker. Lastly, Nordikas slippers, so warm, comfortable and stylish with a lightweight outdoor sole. Winter may be a bit depressing in some ways but there are many plus points - log fires, hot chocolate, skiing and your slippers!
